Pearls Before Swine
If you have a little bit of an ego, Social Media can easily become the bane of your existence. Its not that you shouldn’t communicate with people via the medium, but posting ideas and opinions can get out of hand for some of us. No, this is not about offending people. It is more about the self-discipline of developing your thoughts and opinions.
When you don’t give yourself time to develop your thoughts and ideas, you end up arguing your half-baked ideas with some person you don’t know, who often has their own incomplete thoughts. At that point, I think both of us would be casting pearls before swine. Generally, no participant in the debate is really the swine. I cannot, however, say the same for the facilitators of social media sites.
Fear Consumes Us
Speaking of swine, and a governor, whose name rhymes with swine, the handling of this whole “pandemic,” has been one of the worst abuses of power and peoples emotions in my lifetime. The way that people have responded to the propagated fear by the media and the tyrants in Washington and in the state houses is very disconcerting. The worst part of this last year has been seeing people that I care about being consumed by fear.
This fear is often based on half-truths presented in a way to make them fear other people. Many of us should find it hard to forgive the corporate media and the authoritarian leaders for what they have done to the psyche of our friends and family.
Tell Me I’m Wrong
I would also like to send out a general invite to anyone who either thinks I’m wrong or would like to discuss a topic on the show. Generally, it will have to be something that I’m interested in for me to have it on the show. However, if you would like to call me out, and you should because I say a lot of crazy stuff, feel free to comment on the site or reach out to me privately by means of your choosing.
